Deal with my forward growing hair.?
My hair is rediculously thick and full.. and Dry. It grows directly forward towards my face, so I have smallish forehead and nasty forehead hair.
When I was younger, my was fine and receded and was very relaxed.. pretty much normal.
But now, my hair sucks, I can't use a comb unless my hair is wet, and it frizzes up like crazy. I use gel and promade and fiber, it works, but to only to a small degree.
Should I try a hair relaxer? Should I just stick to short spiky hair, or buzzcutt?
Anyone have any suggestions?
Most guy's hair grows forward on top. A regular taper cut brushed to the side, mostly off the forehead works well or an ivy league or crew cut. With a regular taper cut, the top hair will probbly be thinned so it lays as the cut is designed. for an ivy league or crew cut, thick hair is ideal. with an ivy league or crew cut, the top hair is graduated in length shorter from the front hairline to the back of the crown to counteract the downward slope the skull and the tendency of the hair to lie forward. This allows the short pomp front to readily form when the hair is brushed back off the forehead.

Some barbers describe an ivy league as a crew cut just long enough to be parted and combed to the side, if so desired. An ivy league can also be worn with the hair brushed up off the forehead to form the short pomp front, or with the short bangs brushed down on the forehead like a forward brush cut.

Essential barbering knowledge:

Grooming any of the short pomp styles- crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut- is basically the same and takes about a minute or two.
1) Towel dry hair.
2) Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.
3)Transfer wax to palms.
4) Smooth palms over hair.
5)Brush hair off forehead to form short pomp front.
Whichever style you decide on, be sure to take a photo to help describe the desired haircut to the barber or stylist. If you need more photos of any of the above styles, let me know.
Good Luck!
