SW Florida Saltwater gear set up?
New England saltwater fisherman here, tough year for the striped ones, the blues were even scarce. First time to sw fla for T-day to visit the folks. Would love to hook some table-fare.
Probably be fishing Naples Beach or Marco at night. Dead bait, live bait or artificials, any advice appreciated.
Got about a dozen 10ft+ rods, lots of reels from 20's up to 80's.

If I were you I'd rent a canoe at the Collier/Seminole State Park and drift-fish the Blackwater river catching Reds, Largemouth Bass, Snook, Flounder and Spec Trout. It's inexpensive and FUN- http://www.floridastateparks.org/collier-seminole/default.cfm
The Blackwater is a very scenic "brackish" river that has both fresh AND saltwater fish.
Use Berkley Gulp Jerkshads, (http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_75761____SearchResults ) in Chartreuse or White with either a 1/4 OZ jig or a 5/0 EWG hook, (hook- http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_53661____SearchResults).
OR you can simply drift a Live Shrimp on a jig or under a cork.
Your odds are good you will come home with some Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, Spec Trout, and possibly a Snook or 2- check local closers on some fish.
You COULD spend your time sitting on a pier or beach, but your odds on catching something "decent" increase if you can be mobile in a boat, (or in this case, a canoe).
If you decide to go the State Park route you will need a couple 12-14LB class spinning outfits (or baitcasters) with a Medium/heavy 6'6" - 7' rod.
Otherwise, you CAN bring some of your heavier tackle you mentioned and go on a charter boat. Or do some Surf fishing from one of the local beaches.
