Fishing Methods
Fishing methods never come easy in my view and we all started out as learners, back then when I first picked up a fishing rod it was rather daunting, I remember my father telling me to put his rod down and to leave it alone, needless to say I did just that and would always remember to never again look at it.
I joined forces with some old friends and we ventured out in to the abyss on some ropey old boat, all trying to even it out whist our pathetic attempts to zip the lines in the water simply failed. I eventually asked my Grandfather to give me some fishing methods and advice after swallowing my pride.
That was the best thing I ever did in my life and let me tell you why, from that day on we would wake up early and do some real fishing, his first tip to me was to not bother fishing to early as the water was to cold, the sun would be to low and that the fish would not be biting, the rays would be bouncing of the water which is not good when you need some bites.
Fishing methods and playing the fish:
Safety first make sure to take out mobile phones, most people ignore this and believe it or not some have died. Other advice would be to take spare equipment and clothing this is a must, you never want to be on the hunt and to lose your rod in the water, I have made this mistake two times and the shame still haunts me to be honest.
When any fish feels your line they will struggle to get free, they may even jump so be warned, it may swim back towards the line or attempt to swim around awkward obstacles which can be off putting so stick with it, each fish will be act differently some aggressive.
Taking the line you will need to first retrieve it and then lower horizontal making sure to point directly at the fish this helps with the process.
Next step will be to stop retrieving with the line and simply raise the rod up. Next step is when the rod is at about an 11.00 clock position, keep repeating this process and wait until the fish is ready to be landed over. Follow these fishing methods and you will be pro.
